New Deploy feature

This release comes with a new “Deploy” plugin. The feature requires a 2.2.x agent. This agent is also in a RC/validation cycle. You can download it here:

Upload from the last BETA release

For people have installed BETA version, apply these SQL queries to force plugins to update to this RC1 :

This is a great news for the UPS users. We will be able to speed up a lot the nut integration in FusionInventory and GLPI.

This agent is a very special one. It has been written from scratch for the Android platform, with the support of following people and organizations: Kévin Roy, Sébastien Lacroix and Walid Nouh, TECLIB’ and  Mandriva. A reasonable mix of community involvment and company support. Thank you all!

Inventory

It features a complete inventory of your Android devices: both hardware and software informations are collected. You get the data about processor, memory, drives, sensors, etc. and also the list and description of installed application (apk).

Supported

FusionInventory Agent for Android is running on Android 1.6 and higher. We maintain a list of tested devices. Please report any success or failure on the bug tracker. Some informations (for example serial number) won’t be available on devices running Android 2.2 or lower. If you know how to collect them, please open request on the bug tracker.

Connect

FusionInventory Agent for Android can send inventory to: FusionInventory for GLPI 2.3.x and higher, OCS Inventory 1.3.x and 2.x (for the last one you need to apply a patch).

We have fixed many minor and big bugs and we ask users to test :

• Task scheduler / management
• Rules for import devices
• Wizard

These 3 parts will be modified and require more test before the 2.4.0 release (all unit test pass but perhaps we have forgotten something to test :p).

Last we were at Strasbourg, France for the RMLL meeting. We did a GLPI presentation and another one regarding FusionInventory. Like last year, the meeting was great to meet the contributors, users and people from other project like Shinken Monitoring, Centreon or FusionDirectory.
